Texas High School Basketball - Coldspring-Oakhurst overwhelmed by Shepherd

The Shepherd Pirates basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans to 43 in the Pirates league victory on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 20-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinity for a 3A Region III District 23 contest on Tuesday, February 13. Shepherd will battle a Tigers team coming off a 52-44 league loss to Crockett (Crockett, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 14-16.

The Trojans (25-8) will now prepare for their contest against Onalaska (Onalaska, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region III District 23 contest with a 16-18 record. In their last contest, Onalaska triumphed over Anderson-Shiro (Anderson, TX), 73-67, in a league contest.
