The Cross (Bluffton, SC) varsity basketball team lost Friday's home conference game against Thomas Heyward Academy (Ridgeland, SC) by a score of 60-51.
The Thomas Heyward Academy Rebels basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Cross Stingrays to 51 in the Rebels league triumph on Friday.
The Rebels now sport a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beaufort Academy for a SCISA AA Region II contest on Monday, February 12. Thomas Heyward Academy will meet a Eagles team coming off a 58-37 league loss to Bethesda Academy (Savannah, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-13.
The Stingrays (10-20) will now prepare for their contest against Bethesda Academy (Savannah, GA). The enter the SCISA AA Region II contest with a 17-6 record. In their last contest, Bethesda Academy was defeated by Hilton Head Prep (Hilton Head Island, SC), 59-44, in a non-league contest.
