The Walnut Ridge Scots (Columbus, OH) basketball walloped the host Independence 76ers (Columbus, OH), 87-50 in Friday's league bout.

With the win, Walnut Ridge upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Scots travel to Buchtel (Akron, OH) to clash with the Griffins in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Griffins go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Buchtel lost 84-63 in their recent non-league bout against Richmond Heights (Richmond Heights, OH)

In their next game, the 76ers face the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats (Hilliard, OH) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, February 13. Independence will attempt to move on its 0-19 season record.
