The New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) basketball crushed the host Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA), 84-48 in Friday's league test.

The Trojans (15-6) will now prepare for their test against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Rams go into the Bay Rivers test with a 18-3 record. In their last test, Lafayette walloped Bruton (Williamsburg, VA), 76-69, in a league test.

The Islanders now own a 1-19 record. They play next when they travel to Tabb for a Bay Rivers test on Monday, February 12. Poquoson will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 53-49 league loss to Warhill (Williamsburg, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-18.
