In Friday's league outing, the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) basketball squad edged the host Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), by a margin of 45-41.

The Vikings (21-1) will now prepare for their outing against South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Cougars go into the 3A/4A Mideastern outing with a 4-14 record. In their last outing, South Brunswick was tipped by Topsail (Hampstead, NC), 58-50, in a league outing.

The Screaming Eagle now own a 12-10 record. They play next when they travel to Topsail for a 3A/4A Mideastern outing on Tuesday, February 13. Ashley will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 58-50 league win over South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 14-8.
