The Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV) basketball edged the visiting Hampshire Trojans (Romney, WV), 53-49 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Bearcats now possess a 2-16 record. They play next when they travel to North Marion for a Big Ten bout on Monday, March 3. Grafton will play a Huskies team coming off a 47-45 league win over Liberty (Clarksburg, WV). The Huskies record now stands at 10-10.

With the loss, Hampshire falls to 12-10 on the campaign. The Trojans host Keyser (Keyser, WV) to play the Golden Tornado in a non-league bout on Friday, March 7. The Golden Tornado go into the bout with a record of 10-12. Keyser won 72-53 in their recent non-league bout against Preston (Kingwood, WV)
