West Virginia High School Basketball - Hampshire routed by Bridgeport
January 25, 2025: Romney, WV 26757 Bridgeport Indians (Bridgeport, WV) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Hampshire Trojans (Romney, WV), 81-42 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Bridgeport advances its record to 8-1 on the year. The Indians host Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV) to face the Buccaneers in a Big Ten match on Tuesday, January 28. The Buccaneers enter the match with a record of 7-4. Buckhannon-Upshur won 58-43 in their recent league match against Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV)
The Trojans now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hedgesville for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. Hampshire will face a Eagles squad coming off a 43-38 league loss to Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV). The Eagles record now stands at 9-3.
