In Monday's non-league match, the host Sam Houston Broncos softball team scored a nice 9-0 victory over the Kaplan Pirates.

The Broncos (8-2) will now prepare for their match against New Iberia (New Iberia, LA). The Yellowjackets go into the 5A District 3 match with a 3-5 record.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the St. Martinville Tigers (St. Martinville, LA) in a 3A District 5 match, on Tuesday, March 11. Kaplan will attempt to better on its 10-1 season record.
