In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Marvin Ridge Mavericks softball team scored a nice 13-0 victory over the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves.

The Mavericks (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack go into the non-league match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Parkwood gained a win over Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC), 6-4, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Wolves battle the Berry Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) in a So Meck 4A match, on Thursday, March 13. Ballantyne Ridge will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Cardinals go into the match with a 1-5 record after their 21-0 league loss to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC).
