Spruce Timberwolves (Dallas, TX) fans left the game pleased Friday as they witnessed their baseball team beat the visiting Samuell Spartans (Dallas, TX), 13-2 in a league game.

The Timberwolves (8-6) will now prepare for their game against Poteet (Mesquite, TX). The Pirates go into the 5A Region II District 14 game with a 7-4 record. In their last game, Poteet knocked off West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX), 11-4, in a league game.

Next, the Spartans play the Seagoville Dragons (Dallas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 14 game, on Tuesday, March 17. Samuell will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Dragons go into the game with a 1-11 record after their 20-0 league loss to North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX).
