Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) and the host East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC), saw Hickory's baseball squad knock off East Lincoln by a count of 3-1.

Coming up next, the Red Tornadoes play the North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A battle, on Thursday, March 16. Hickory will attempt to move on its 6-0 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 4-2 record after their 22-0 league win over Statesville (Statesville, NC).

The Mustangs now possess a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Statesville for a Western Foothills 3A battle on Friday, March 17. East Lincoln will play a Greyhounds squad coming off a 22-0 league loss to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 0-4.
