In Tuesday's league challenge, the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC), by a final score of 6-0.

With the win, Hickory upgrades its record to 10-0 on the season. The Red Tornadoes travel to Foard (Newton, NC) to battle the Tigers in a Western Foothills 3A challenge on Friday, March 31. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 7-1. Foard won 8-2 in their recent league challenge against North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC)

With the defeat, West Iredell falls to 5-5 on the season. The Warriors travel to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) to battle the Knights in a Western Foothills 3A challenge on Friday, March 31.
