Texas High School Softball - Vela can't get by Rowe

The Rowe Warriors edged the visiting Vela Sabercats softball squad by a count of 13-12 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Warriors meet the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines (Alamo, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 challenge, on Monday, March 17. Rowe will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 16-1 league loss to Sharyland (Mission, TX).

The Sabercats (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX). The Javelinas enter the 5A Region IV District 31 challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest was nudged by Pioneer (Mission, TX), 14-1, in a league challenge.
