Texas High School Softball - Sulphur Springs nudges Texas
March 17, 2022: Sulphur Springs, TX 75482 Sulphur Springs Wildcats (Sulphur Springs, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Texas Tigers (Texarkana, TX), 5-4 in a league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 13-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marshall for a 5A Region II District 15 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Sulphur Springs will battle a Mavericks squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Pine Tree (Longview, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 9-11.
With the loss, Texas falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Hallsville (Hallsville, TX) to battle the Bobcats in a 5A Region II District 15 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Hallsville won 16-1 in their recent league challenge against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX)
