April 8, 2022: Sulphur Springs, TX 75482 The crowd at Friday's league match between the Sulphur Springs Wildcats (Sulphur Springs, TX) and the visiting Mt. Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, TX), saw Sulphur Springs's softball squad nip Mt. Pleasant by a count of 7-2.
The Wildcats now sport a 18-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Texas for a 5A Region II District 15 match on Tuesday, April 12. Sulphur Springs will face a Tigers squad coming off a 11-6 league win over Pine Tree (Longview, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 9-5.
With the loss, Mt. Pleasant falls to 16-7 on the campaign. The Tigers host Hallsville (Hallsville, TX) to face the Bobcats in a 5A Region II District 15 match on Tuesday, April 12. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 14-6. Hallsville won 11-2 in their recent league match against Longview (Longview, TX)
