Texas High School Baseball - Gilmer loses to Carthage
March 17, 2023: Carthage, TX 75633 The Carthage Bulldogs crushed the visiting Gilmer Buckeyes baseball team by a count of 20-1 in Friday's league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they host Kilgore for a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, March 21. Carthage will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 11-6 non-league win over New Diana (Diana, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-2.
Next, the Buckeyes face the Center Roughriders (Center, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 battle, on Tuesday, March 21. Gilmer will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Roughriders enter the battle with a 6-8 record after their 10-0 league loss to Spring Hill (Longview, TX).
