South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer squad triumph over the visiting Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC), 6-1 in a league match.

The Thoroughbreds now sport a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Aiken for a AAAA Region 4 match on Tuesday, March 21. South Aiken will encounter a Fighting Green Hornets squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Saluda (Saluda, SC). The Fighting Green Hornets record now stands at 10-0.

With the loss, Midland Valley drops to 3-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to North Augusta (North Augusta, SC) to encounter the Yellow Jackets in a AAAA Region 4 match on Tuesday, March 21.
