The Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) lacrosse nudged the visiting Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC), 11-10 in Tuesday's league outing.

The Screaming Eagle now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laney for a Conference 4 test on Friday, March 20. Ashley will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 25-0 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 4-2.

The Pirates (5-1) will now prepare for their test against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions enter the Conference 4 test with a 2-6 record. In their last test, North Brunswick was tipped by Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC), 6-5, in a non-league test.
