Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) and the visiting Meadow Bridge Wildcats (Meadow Bridge, WV), saw Midland Trail's baseball squad knock off Meadow Bridge by a count of 12-0.

Coming up next, the Patriots play the Liberty Raiders (Glen Daniel, WV) in a Coalfield AA battle, on Tuesday, March 19. Midland Trail will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 11-1 league loss to PikeView (Princeton, WV).
