In Tuesday's league test, the Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting George West Longhorns (George West, TX), by a tally of 12-1.

Next, the Greyhounds meet the West Oso Bears (Corpus Christi, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 29 test, on Friday, March 21. Taft will attempt to advance on its 11-7 season record. The Bears go into the test with a 3-13 record after their 18-0 league loss to Mathis (Mathis, TX).

The Longhorns (3-11) will now prepare for their test against Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX). The Panthers go into the 3A Region IV District 29 test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, Aransas Pass was routed by Odem (Odem, TX), 8-4, in a league test.
