The Galax Maroon Tide baseball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Narrows Green Waves to 8 in the Maroon Tide non-league win on Wednesday.

The Maroon Tide now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Auburn for a non-league test on Friday, March 21. Galax will play a Eagles team coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Patrick Henry (Glade Spring, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Narrows drops to 0-2 on the year. The Green waves travel to Bath County (Hot Springs, VA) to play the Chargers in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 1. The Chargers go into the test with a record of 0-1.
