Louisiana High School Softball - Independence bounces Bogalusa
March 19, 2025: Independence, LA 70443 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Independence Tigers (Independence, LA) and the visiting Bogalusa Lumberjacks (Bogalusa, LA), observed Independence's softball team prevail over Bogalusa by a tally of 24-9.
The Tigers (2-6) will now prepare for their bout against Port Allen (Port Allen, LA). The Pelicans go into the non-league bout with a 3-7 record. In their last bout, Port Allen was routed by Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA), 17-0, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Lumberjacks clash with the Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) in a 3A District 7 bout, on Thursday, March 20. Bogalusa will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Cowboys go into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 18-15 league loss to Springfield (Springfield, LA).
