March 20, 2024: Oak Hill, WV 25901 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) softball team held off the host Oak Hill Red Devils (Oak Hill, WV), by a margin of 9-8.
With the triumph, Nicholas County moves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Grizzlies travel to Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV) to play the Tigers in a Coalfield AA contest on Thursday, March 21. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 2-0. Shady Spring won 8-0 in their recent league contest against Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV)
In their next game, the Red Devils play the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles (Beckley, WV) in a Mountain State contest, on Monday, March 25. Oak Hill will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Flying Eagles come into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 1-0 league loss to Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV).
