The Hoxie Mustangs baseball team (Hoxie, AR), was overwhelmed 26-1 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Newport Greyhounds (Newport, AR)

The Greyhounds now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Des Arc for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 27. Newport will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Woodlawn (Rison, AR). The Eagles record now stands at 2-6.

With the defeat, Hoxie drops to 3-5 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Delta (Deering, MO) to clash with the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 21. The Chargers go into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
