In Thursday's league test, the Benton Tigers (Benton, LA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Natchitoches Central Chiefs (Natchitoches, LA), by a tally of 12-7.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Jena Giants (Jena, LA) in a non-league test, on Friday, March 21. Benton will attempt to advance on its 13-3 season record. The Giants go into the test with a 12-2 record after their 10-0 league win over Bunkie (Bunkie, LA).

The Chiefs (5-13) will now prepare for their test against Grant (Dry Prong, LA). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 9-7 record. In their last test, Grant was routed by Tioga (Tioga, LA), 7-5, in a league test.
