The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) and the visiting West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS), observed New Hope's softball team get by West Point by a tally of 8-2.

The Trojans (10-6) will now prepare for their bout against Grenada (Grenada, MS). The Chargers go into the non-league bout with a 6-3 record. In their last bout, Grenada tipped Olive Branch (Olive Branch, MS), 14-0, in a league bout.
