Texas High School Softball - Harleton sneaks past Overton

March 20, 2026: Harleton, TX 75651

The Harleton Wildcats softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Overton Mustangs to 12 in the Wildcats league win on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 7-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ore City for a 2A Region III District 19 battle on Tuesday, March 24. Harleton will confront a Rebels team coming off a 18-0 league win over Carlisle (Price, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 12-14.

With the loss, Overton moves to 11-10 on the season. The Mustangs host Waskom (Waskom, TX) to confront the Wildcats in a 2A Region III District 19 battle on Tuesday, March 24. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 10-16. Waskom lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Beckville (Beckville, TX)
