Montwood Rams (El Paso, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host El Dorado Aztecs (El Paso, TX), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Rams now own a 22-5 record. They take the field next when they host Coronado for a 6A Region I District 1 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Montwood will battle a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 19-1 league loss to Socorro (El Paso, TX). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 8-15.

With the loss, El Dorado falls to 17-11 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Franklin (El Paso, TX) to battle the Cougars in a 6A Region I District 1 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 9-18. Franklin lost 10-6 in their recent league challenge against Eastwood (El Paso, TX)
