State College Little Lions (State College, PA) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Altoona Mountain Lions (Altoona, PA), 7-6 in a league match.

With the triumph, State College advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Little Lions host Central Mountain (Mill Hall, PA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league match on Wednesday, March 26. The Wildcats come into the match with a record of 2-0. Central Mountain won 10-4 in their recent non-league match against DuBois (DuBois, PA)

The Mountain Lions now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mechanicsburg for a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth match on Wednesday, March 26. Altoona will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-5 league loss to Cedar Cliff (Camp Hill, PA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-1.
