In Friday's league challenge, the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) baseball squad edged the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), by a final score of 4-3.

With the win, Hoggard upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Vikings travel to Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 30. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 3-6.

With the defeat, South Brunswick falls to 6-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to North Brunswick (Leland, NC) to encounter the Scorpions in a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 29.
