Kentucky High School Softball - Rowan County bounces Russell
March 25, 2022: Morehead, KY 40351 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY) and the visiting Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY), witnessed Rowan County's softball squad prevail over Russell by a count of 12-2.
The Vikings now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Powell County for a non-league match on Saturday, March 26. Rowan County will face a Pirates squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Wolfe County (Campton, KY). The Pirates record now stands at 0-4.
With the loss, Russell moves to 2-2 on the season. The Red devils travel to Lawrence County (Louisa, KY) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, March 26. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 5-1. Lawrence County won 5-3 in their recent non-league match against Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY)
