March 25, 2025: Thurmont, MD 21788 Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD) followers exited the stadium satisfied Tuesday as they saw their lacrosse team top the visiting Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots (Frederick, MD), 18-0 in a non-league game.
With the victory, Catoctin advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD) to play the Warriors in a CMC game on Saturday, March 29. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 1-0. Boonsboro won 15-2 in their recent league game against Frederick (Frederick, MD)
The Patriots now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Smithsburg for a non-league game on Thursday, March 27. Governor Thomas Johnson will play a Leopards team coming off a 13-5 non-league win over South Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD). The Leopards record now stands at 1-0.
