April 29, 2025: Walkersville, MD 21793 The Walkersville Lions lacrosse squad scored 21 points and limited the visiting Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots to 0 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lions now hold a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Catoctin for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 3. Walkersville will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 11-10 non-league win over South Carroll (Sykesville, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 9-4.
With the loss, Governor Thomas Johnson falls to 0-10 on the year. The Patriots travel to Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD) to clash with the Warriors in a CMC challenge on Thursday, May 1. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Boonsboro won 23-12 in their recent league challenge against Brunswick (Brunswick, MD)
