The Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets edged the host Rivera Raiders softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Yellowjackets meet the Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 challenge, on Friday, March 28. Edcouch-Elsa will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 15-1 league loss to Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX).

The Raiders (4-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Lopez (Brownsville, TX). The Lobos enter the 5A Region IV District 32 challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Lopez edged Donna North (Donna, TX), 15-0, in a league challenge.
