The Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets triumphed over the host Pace Vikings softball squad by a count of 13-4 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Yellowjackets meet the Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 challenge, on Friday, February 28. Edcouch-Elsa will attempt to upgrade on its 9-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 12-3 league loss to Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX).

The Vikings (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lopez (Brownsville, TX). The Lobos enter the 5A Region IV District 32 challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Lopez overcame Rivera (Brownsville, TX), 4-0, in a league challenge.
