In Thursday's non-league match, the host St. Michael Catholic Cardinals softball squad scored a close 7-1 triumph over the UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs.

Next, the Cardinals play the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets (Mobile, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, March 30. St. Michael Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 1-20 record after their 14-4 non-league loss to Cottage Hill Christian Academy (Mobile, AL).
