Arizona High School Baseball - Saguaro edges Mesquite

The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ) and the host Mesquite Wildcats (Gilbert, AZ), saw Saguaro's baseball team gain a win over Mesquite by a tally of 8-5.

The Sabercats (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ). The Falcons enter the 4A Desert Sky battle with a 13-1 record. In their last battle, Cactus Shadows by Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ), 7-6, in a league battle.

Next, the Wildcats face the Marcos de Niza Padres (Tempe, AZ) in a 4A Desert Sky battle, on Monday, March 31. Mesquite will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Padres enter the battle with a 6-8 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Thunderbird (Phoenix, AZ).
