Strom Thurmond Rebels (Johnston, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Swansea Tigers (Swansea, SC), 10-3 in a league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Batesburg-Leesville for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 30.

With the loss, Swansea falls to 8-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Fox Creek (North Augusta, SC) to face the Predators in a AAA Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 29.
