March 28, 2025: Buckhorn, KY 41721 Buckhorn Wildcats (Buckhorn, KY) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Cordia Lions (Hazard, KY), 15-0 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Buckhorn upgrades its record to 1-7 on the year. The Wildcats host Lee County (Beattyville, KY) to play the Bobcats in a non-league game on Thursday, April 3. The Bobcats enter the game with a record of 0-3. Lee County lost 31-20 in their recent non-league game against Jackson City (Jackson, KY)
The Lions now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Knott County Central for a District 53 game on Monday, March 31. Cordia will play a Patriots squad coming off a 17-8 non-league win over Martin County (Inez, KY). The Patriots record now stands at 3-4.
