In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting John Marshall Monarchs softball team scored a nice 10-1 win over the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers.

The Monarchs (6-4) will now prepare for their match against Preston (Kingwood, WV). The Knights come into the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Preston was routed by Southern (Oakland, MD), 10-1, in a non-league match.
