The Preston Knights softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers to 4 in the Knights league win on Tuesday.

The Knights now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southern for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 27. Preston will confront a Rams team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD). The Rams record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Buckhannon-Upshur moves to 2-3 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to North Marion (Farmington, WV) to confront the Huskies in a Big Ten battle on Thursday, March 27. The Huskies come into the battle with a record of 2-2. North Marion lost 11-0 in their recent league battle against Grafton (Grafton, WV)
