Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting East Fairmont Bees (Fairmont, WV), 12-4 in a league game.

With the triumph, Preston improves its record to 6-15 on the year. The Knights host Tucker County (Hambleton, WV) to play the Mountain Lions in a non-league game on Friday, May 2. The Mountain Lions enter the game with a record of 6-8.

The Bees now hold a 5-15 record. They play next when they host Buckhannon-Upshur for a non-league game on Friday, May 2. East Fairmont will play a Buccaneers squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Lincoln (Shinnston, WV). The Buccaneers record now stands at 9-9.
