Game Summary
Dixie looses close game 4-3 vs Crimson Cliffs.
I was really proud of our guys and how they managed to control the first half tonight. We picked up a quick unassisted goal from Rene Bernal. Then he found Denrick Tahual to assist him on our second goal of the first half. The guys maybe relaxed too quick as Crimson Cliffs answered with a goal of their own to bring it to 2-1. Rene then found Iker Meza for our 3rd goal of the first half...but Crimson isn't at the top of Region 9 because they roll over easy...as they answered with their second goal before the half...leaving the score at 3-2 for the half time break.
Crimson is well coached and made great adjustments to deliver a great second half performance where they equalized their 3rd goal about midway through the second period. With approximately 10 minutes to go, we had an unfortunate foul in the corner of the 18-yard penalty area and Crimson drew a PK which Mitchell Squires finished for the go ahead 4-3 game winning goal.
