Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA), 8-7 in a league test.

With the win, Indian River upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Braves host Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA) to battle the Grizzlies in a Southeastern test on Tuesday, April 4. The Grizzlies come into the test with a record of 3-1. Grassfield won 6-3 in their recent non-league test against Maury (Norfolk, VA)

With the defeat, Hickory falls to 1-4 on the season. The Hawks host Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA) to battle the Wildcats in a Southeastern test on Tuesday, April 4.
