Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), 15-4 in a league test.

With the win, Hickory upgrades its record to 8-7 on the season. The Hawks travel to Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) to battle the Tigers in a Southeastern match on Thursday, May 4. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 5-9. Oscar Smith lost 5-2 in their recent league match against Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA)

The Braves (9-6) will now prepare for their match against Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA). The Bruins go into the non-league match with a 9-3 record. In their last match, Western Branch ran past Lakeland (Suffolk, VA), 10-0, in a league match.
