In Monday's non-league outing, the visiting Independence Wildcats baseball squad scored a good 12-1 triumph over the Bruce Trojans.

Next up, the Wildcats battle the North Panola Fightn Cougars (Sardis, MS) in a 3A Region 2 outing, on Tuesday, March 31. Independence will attempt to advance on its 14-9 season record. The Fightn Cougars come into the outing with a 0-5 record after their 15-7 league loss to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS).
