In Monday's league test, the Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS), by a count of 9-1.

Next, the Hornets meet the West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, April 7. Loyd Star will attempt to upgrade on its 18-2 season record.
