March 31, 2023: Brevard, NC 28712 The Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) softball nipped the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), 5-4 in Friday's league bout.
The Blue Devils (8-3) will now prepare for their bout against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans go into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A bout with a 4-2 record. In their last bout, Chase held off East Rutherford (Forest City, NC), 11-2, in a league bout.
The Cavaliers now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Hendersonville for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A bout on Tuesday, April 4. East Rutherford will confront a Bearcats squad coming off a 14-2 league loss to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-6.
