March 31, 2025: Davenport, IA 52803 Davenport Central Blue Devils (Davenport, IA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Hempstead Mustangs (Dubuque, IA), 4-2 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Davenport Central moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league test on Thursday, April 3. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 2-0. Maquoketa won 5-0 in their recent non-league outing against Camanche (Camanche, IA)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Dubuque Senior Rams (Dubuque, IA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, April 5. Hempstead will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Rams go into the outing with a 0-0 record after their 2-2 non-league Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA).
