The Pinnacle Pioneers (Phoenix, AZ) softball routed the host Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ), 24-5 in Monday's non-league outing.

The Pioneers now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host O'Connor for a 6A Desert Valley outing on Tuesday, April 1. Pinnacle will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Xavier College Prep (Phoenix, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Higley moves to 6-13 on the season. The Knights host Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ) to encounter the Jaguars in a 5A San Tan outing on Tuesday, April 1. The Jaguars come into the outing with a record of 12-6. Desert Ridge lost 9-0 in their recent non-league outing against Red Mountain (Mesa, AZ)
